Is weed still a crime for some and not for others?

Parker Coleman Is Still in Prison—Hard Stop.

Parker Coleman is serving a 60-year sentence for a non-violent cannabis offense—the same conspiracy that cost me seven years of my life. And yet, despite multiple chances for justice, he's still behind bars.

When Biden pardoned 2,500 offenders on his way out, Parker was overlooked. When Trump pardoned the January 6th rioters, Parker was ignored again. My point? No matter the administration, Parker Coleman should not be in prison for a plant.

Don’t be distracted by the fact that cannabis is now legal in most states, deemed essential during a global pandemic, and generating billions in tax revenue. For Parker—and the many others still locked up—their only real chance at freedom lies in a presidential pardon. And time after time, that opportunity is denied.

This newsletter is dedicated to Parker, who we all believed would be home by now. For prisoners like him, every four years brings another glimmer of hope—another chance for the president to read their petition and grant them freedom.

Now, Parker waits until 2029, hoping Trump puts him on the list.

Until then, The Weed Lady will continue saying his name in every conversation about cannabis justice, and we hope you do, too. Because no one should still be in prison for a plant.

Stay high and high-functioning,

The Weed Lady Founder 🌿
